'Twas the night of Christmas
'Twas the night of Christmas and all through the house all the creatures & kiddos were stirring, even the mouse.
The gifts were all open and strung about. There was noise and clamor from toys blaring, chatter, giggles, and singing-yes- indeed it was quite loud.
I peeked around every corner, avoiding match cars, Legos, gadgets and dolls, gazing in the eyes of many blessings granted and STILL asking myself...how?
How was I ever chosen for this amazing journey? How do I get to experience the gift of their every day?
The answer remains a mystery and answers I do not need. I just whisper "thank you" and count it joy I get to...I choose to...see.
Thank you God, through joy and sorrow, laughter and pain; may I lead them faithfully; may they see Jesus in me. Thank you Father...over and over again.
Twas the night of Christmas and all bedtime prayers said...now Mom, dad and all "littles" are tucked tightly, snuggled in their beds.
