The next chapter of our story God is writing at the Litzkes
Yeah, you’ve heard it before…Our “YES is on the table…THEN God gets to ask the questions and lead. But each YES looks a little different. Each YES is JUST AS IMPORTANT as the one before.
Each YES is a step of obedience taken in great leaps of faith.
This YES…is no different
The “rest of the story” is sure to follow in time. But for now, we are thrilled to share the latest:
After losing our son in Ghana about 6 months ago, we have been praying and asking God to lead us. We knew, without a shadow of a doubt, we had followed as we felt led to our little guy. What brought this assurance? God’s constant confirmations. Our approval and dossier remained in Ghana but we didn’t want that to dictate our next steps. We only wanted God to do that. Living “outside the box” means being willing to move, stand, turn and wait anytime and however God asks.
We were recently asked to consider adopting a special young boy that had recently lost his adoptive family during the long adoption process. He was heartbroken, as you can imagine, and desperately wanted a family. After many confirmations, with much peace, we said…..(you guessed it)……YES! After verbalizing our YES…God has continued to send confirmations and “bless our yes”!
The process should go quickly and much is needed. I did mention this is another FAITH journey? The great thing in that—we know—God’s got this! He asks that we do our part in diligent fund raising and being good stewards of what He provides. But He just might ask other’s to join the journey to allow them some really cool experiences of their own. To join in on the blessing of their YES in whatever way God invites them to be apart. To witness the joy and the miracles when we respond and live out loud His heartbeat expressed in James 1:27. .
Yeah-we hate fund raising too. But a little boy longing to have a family to call his own, is desperate for our efforts. That makes it all worth while.
We humbly ask you cover us in prayer as we complete the paperwork and…wait. But first and foremost, please pray for our sweet boy as he waits and anticipates all the exciting and uncertain changes/transitions ahead.
Our prayer as always- Lord, do it in a way that only You can do so all the glory points back to You!
Abiding in His Grip of grace-& joy-on another journey of FAITH-
