More4Orphans Summit: March 9 & 10, 2012, Columbus, Ohio
God's call to "look after orphans and widows in their distress" is clear. But with more than 143 million orphans in our world today, it is overwhelming. What is God calling his church to do?
We're hoping you'll join us and find out at the More4Orphans Summit March 9-10.
We'll be bringing a sharper focus to the orphan crisis in our world today and explore ways we can all help the most vulnerable among us.
Come hear from Dr. Wess Stafford, an internationally recognized advocate for children in poverty, author of Too Small to Ignore and Just a Minute, and president & CEO of Compassion International; along with Project HOPEFUL Founder, Executive Director and adoptive mom of 14, Carolyn Twietmeyer; and other international, national and local leaders who reflect God's heart for the orphan.
The summit will feature three tracks:
- Global Orphan Care,
- Foster Care and
and will include seven main speakers, more than 20 breakout sessions, exhibitors and time for prayer and worship.
Hosted by Vineyard Columbus and open to all, More4Orphans Summit will be held Friday, March 9 (7-9 pm) and Saturday, March 10 (8:30am-2pm) at Vineyard Columbus, 6000 Cooper Road, Westerville, OH 43081.
Cost is only $15 for the entire summit or $10 per day. Boxed lunches are available for online registrants only for an additional $10 (must pre-order by March 4).
Access the full conference schedule and register online at www.vineyardcolumbus.org by March 4 or at the Summit.
The outcomes for children who are orphaned by one or both parents are unconscionable – poverty, malnutrition, illness, HIV/AIDS, alcohol and drug addiction, slavery, sexual trafficking, homelessness and death.
More4Orphans is a call to the church and community to do more to care for the orphans among us. More action, more adoptions, more foster families, more care, more funding, more awareness, more sponsoring of children, all building toward more hope. God's call is clear and one we can no longer ignore. We must do more. What more can you do?
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)
